Every person must face one unchanging truth: we are sinners in need of a Savior.
The Bible declares, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23, KJV). Sin is not merely wrongdoing; it is a condition of the heart that separates us from a holy God. No amount of good works, religion, or personal effort can erase that separation. Scripture is clear: “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Sin brings spiritual death and eternal separation from God.
But the verse does not end there.
“...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
God, in His love, made a way where there was no way. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again. He paid the debt we could not pay.
Salvation is not earned — it is received.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9).
What must you do?
The Bible answers plainly: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).
Salvation requires repentance — turning from sin — and placing your full trust in Jesus Christ alone. Not in church membership. Not in good behavior. Not in religious effort. In Christ alone.
If you recognize your sin and believe that Jesus died and rose again for you, call upon Him now. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).
Eternal life is offered freely. The question is simple:
Will you receive Him?
